For this week's show, I went looking for catharsis from last week's "fire and fury" nuclear scaremongering. I found inspiration in doom... no, wait, this kind of doom, and Akira Ifukube's "Prayer for Peace" from the 1954 Gojira (Godzilla) soundtrack. The title of the episode comes from Pat Frank's 1959 novel of the same name, which is often regarded as one of the first nuclear apocalypse novels (it holds up pretty well and I recommend reading it).
