This week's show features Beck's 9th album The Information — a record that I enjoy a great deal and which being his ninth record seems preposterous to me, even now after the show when this fact was covered in some depth. Regardless, it's a defence of mid-career Beck, with a great balance of tunes and off-kilter influences, wrapped in very fine production from Nigel Godrich.
Joined in the studio once again by Radical Advice host Lily Sloane — who might just be living out of the Secret Alley for all we know — but who is always excellent on-air company to run into. We discuss the longest songs you could ever get away with playing on BFF.fm, and butcher the pronounciation of a great many words in tribute to previous guest, Rocío.
