This week's record is Jet Plane and Oxbow, by the magnificient band Shearwater. With a sound and songcraft that incessantly builds to bouyant warmth, while channelling the calm the natural world, their back catlogue has been a touchstone for me this week. Jet Plane and Oxbow, is actually one of their bolder compositions; exhibiting all those traits but also delving into spkier synths, great drama, and even cutting loose with LCD Soundsystem–esque indie-disco.
There are also got new tracks from Erland Cooper, Austra, EOB, Fiona Apple, and Mt. Wolf.
