DÌDI (弟弟) follows a 13-year-old Taiwanese American boy during the last month of summer before high school begins, as he learns to skate, flirt, and love his mom. We get behind the scenes details of the first (and most intense) scene with Joan and lead actor Izaac Wang, learn why playing this role was both cathartic and redemptive for Joan, and how Sean believes the best part of filmmaking makes him a better person.
