Where were you in 1989? Thirty-five years ago yesterday, the Loma Prieta earthquake struck the Bay Area, killing 63 and injuring thousands, interrupting a World Series, damaging the Bay Bridge and collapsing multiple freeways, but also reshaping the Bay for the decades ahead.
Your DJ wasn't yet in the Bay, but remembers those days well. So, for this week, Funemployment offers a playlist from 1989... with one from "1989", in honor of one particular artist born that year.
Thanks to Eric for the photo!
