The 313th show features a debut appearance by Mostly Marys ~ a bluegrass band from the SF Bay Area, whom DJ Webbles' crossed paths with and asked the band to be on his show after an appearance at Oaktoberfest '24!
Mary (x2), Ryan & Scott join me from 23 minutes into this show, after another exquisite playlist carefully selected by DJ Webbles himself, including the following tracks (several of which are brand new!):
- Night Fever by Lewis Taylor
- Peachy Free by BEA1991
- Fair Play by Malaki ft. Lucy McWilliams
- Next Stop by Fat Freddy's Drop ft. MC Slave
- Caroline by Laura Marling
- Floating Parade by Michael Kiwanuka
THEN, we get to hear a 1.5hr-ish interview with the MMs where we hear some of their wonderful live takes on bluegrass classics as well as an original tune performed live by the whole band and written by Ryan (guitar/vox).
All of this combined with MMs chosen desert island discs compilation, makes for one of Hangover Sessions' best shows yet...
Happy listening!
