A year ago, she joined Her DJ Club and showcased her first-ever DJ set in August. Since then, she’s played in Oakland and SF, carving out her own space in the local music scene. Currently, Groovey D is stepping back from live gigs to focus on personal music projects, refining her skills, and drawing in inspiration. We chat about her journey, the impact of her multicultural background on her sound, and what she envisions for the future as a DJ.
