This week’s episode (#427) welcomes SF-native producer and DJ Mcstravick, who pulls up with an all-vinyl DJ set and his brand-new release Butterflies out now on Solidarity Records. Rooted in the Bay and full of soulful grit, Butterflies showcases collaborations with local luminaries like Equipto, Jada Imani, and Professa Gabel, weaving together jazz-laced beats, thoughtful lyrics, and head-nodding rhythms.
In between exclusive cuts from the album, Mcstravick digs deep into the crates for timeless grooves—from Roy Ayers and Nina Simone to Souls of Mischief and Outkast—paying homage to the sounds that shaped his own musical journey and the city that raised him. A tribute to SF’s spirit, past and present, wrapped in warm analog vibes.
