Once again, I'm previewing Iceland Airwaves! First up for 2016 is my picks for non-Icelandic bands that are playing the festival. We have bands from as far away as New Zealand playing as well as bands as close (to SF) as Oakland, CA. The 1990s are being revisited in the form of Lush, PJ Harvey, and Digable Planets. So I'm delving into the music that I listened to in my formative years. Deep feels are a-brewing. One of the best things about Airwaves is this mix of world famous and upstart bands mixed in with a healthy dose of Icelandic favorites.
