4. High Aura'd - Hodge's Lament (from No River Long Enough Doesn't Contain A Bend)

This is named after my bunny who died just before the song was written about 5 years ago and it's been bringing me solace ever since.

3. Cavernlight - A Shell Of One's Former Self (from As We Cup Our Hands And Drink From The Stream Of Our Ache)

This is the most dramatic blackened doom you'll ever hear. Cavernlight brought in some guest vocalists to bring down the fuckin house.

2. Kelly Lee Owens - 8 (from Kelly Lee Owens)

I once (intentionally) listened to this song for about 3 hours on repeat. It's so goddamn hypnotizing.

1. Midwife - Name (from Like Author, Like Daughter)

It was damn near impossible to pick one song as my favorite from this record but here we are with "Name." When she comes in with "Your god hates me" towards the end I just crumble inside.
