On this episode, meet Astral Americana band Aux Meadows....the lovely and experimental ambient alt-country project of three musicians who met at their kids' preschool in Oakland,…
Local band Aux Meadows joined West of Twin Peaks Radio on Sunday, April 6, to talk about their origins, unique sound, and new record.
Chris, Steve, and Joe chatted with MJ about how their project began after the three musicians met at their kids' preschool in Oakland. The trio experiments with the synthesizer and the dobro to create an innovative, floaty, spacey take on Americana and country. They talked about how their music has impacted the community they play for, and how other local musicians in San Francisco have helped curate the music they create today.
Listen in for the full interview, coupled with music from their new LP Draw Near, to learn more about their relationship, their technique, and their impact on San Francisco’s music scene.
