A couple weeks ago I talked my buddy into going to John Krautner's (The Go) record release show for Fun with Gum Vol. One (Burger Records) at UFO Factory in Detroit. He makes it out to a few less shows than I do, so it was fun to hear his fresher take on things. He said it seemed like every authentic, old school rocker dude in Detroit was out that night, and he was really impressed with the hair and leather jackets. Well, I guess it makes sense. If I've figured out anything about Detroit, it's that Detroit rock 'n' rollers are good at showing up when other Detroit rock 'n' rollers play a show. This one deserves it - it's going to be a serious summer jam:
