In 2021, Jambs dropped two EPs, the first one dropped in March by the name of “Speedin’”. This 12 minute project is packed with heavy bass, drum beats, and lyrics of living a fast paced life, with the need to slow it down.
Jambs is a San Francisco born and San Lorenzo raised 23 year old artist. He’s been creating music as a creative outlet since summer 2018. With influences such as instrumentalist Flying Lotus and house music Canadian producer Deadmau5, Jambs' EP is multifaceted, full of danceable and reflective songs.
Listening to self titled song “Speedin’”, a track that definitely has a hype-man, get the night going with the homies type vibe, with money hungry tendencies. In contrast, the last track of the project “Ground Zero”, a track of working hard at one’s craft and remembering where you came from, gives listeners a piece of Jambs’ introspective mindset in lyrical form.
My favorite tracks from this project are: Speedin’, When I Need, and Ground Zero.
For more, check out Jambs’ second EP of 2021, “FUCK…I Lost My Hard Drive”, a 5 track project that dropped in December. First track is packed with enlightenment and kind reminders of the light we hold even in the darkness.
